Ezham Arivu’ is the production venture by Udhayanidhi Stalin on behalf of Red Giant movies, and being directed by A. R. Murugadoss. This film is to be released on the eve of Deepavali.

In this film Surya plays the lead role and is being co-starred by Shruthi Haasan, the daughter of ‘Ulaganayagan’ Kamal Haasan. The second co-star is Abhinaya, who  has played a role in the film ‘Naadodigal’. Surya has caused ripples by playing the role of a scientist, circus artiste, and a Buddhist monk. A.R. Murugadoss who introduced a different villain character in the movie ‘Ghajini’ has introduced a villain role for this film from Vietnam.

The name of this villain character is Johnny Tri Nguyen. He has learnt various martial arts as Karate and Kungfu. He has also played a stunt role in the Hollywood film – Cradle 2 the Grave. He has also played the dupe  for spiderman in Spiderman – 2.

The fight sequence in this movie is said to be equivalent to that of Hollywood, and also spine-chilling. In the climax Surya clashes with the villain character Johnny. The entire fight sequence  has been arranged by Murugadoss in such a way that it revolves around a Kungfu center.

Murugadoss has arranged the graphics for the movie through the graphics company which undertook the graphics sequence for ‘Enthiran’. The graphics will be more tantalizing than that of ‘Enthiran’.

For the song ‘Ringaringa’ more than 1000 artistes have participated. This song introduces the main character  in the film. In many ways this movie is a mega venture. Ravi K. Chandran has taken up photography, and Antony has taken up editing. The music has been composed by Harris Jayaraj. The songs have turned out to be a megahit.

There are lots of expectations aroused by the movie’s trailer like -  this being the second venture by Surya – Murugadoss combination after Ghajini. Also this film has Shruthi Haasan, the daughter of ‘Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan’ and there are expectations about how the character Bodhi Dharman proves to be a Tamilian.


This is just a review of the film. Only time can tell whether this movie will fulfill expectations.l
