‘Nanban’ is a directorial venture by Shankar and there is much anticipation about the movie amidst fans.  Moreover for the first time, Shankar has taken up a remake movie.

The main feauture of the movie is that it is a multistarrer.

Gemini Film Circuit took up the production.   Lot of money has gone into the making and this movie is to be released on Pongal

The characters of the movie ‘3 Idiots’,  Madhavan, Sharman Johsi and Aamir Khan have been replaced by Srikanth, Jeeva and Vijay respectively.  All the other replacements for ‘Nanban’ also have been done.

The music for movie ‘Nanban’ is already a hit. People are keen about booking for the movie well before the release during Pongal.

The original version mocks at the educational system in India. This is the reason for the original version’s success.

The Telugu version is to be released during Makara Sankaranthi.  The plan of making a separate version in Telugu was dropped and now it is a dubbed movie in Telugu as ‘3 Rascals’.

There was a lot of delay in selection of the characters and finally the movie director settled for the current actors.
