Samuthirakani, Thambi Ramaiah, Namo Narayana
Samuthirakani started his career as filmmaker. But turn of events made him a great actor and today he is a National award winner for best supporting actor. However the filmmaker-turned-actor has forgotten his roots.
His passion to do movies made him render Appa. His directorial venture produced by Nadodoigal Entertainments and Etcetra Entertainments is Appa. The movie is about human emotions and values in the family.
The upbringing of children and the sacrifices of father are highlighted. And also looks at the other side of the same. Conveys a strong message that no father should thrust his aspiration on children and never create impression that marks are everything in their lives.
The movie speaks about the travails of fathersSamuthirakani not just directs the same, but also play the lead. He is a dotting father but with a difference. He is right there as a role model dad.
There is Thambi Ramiah who always at the back of his son to get marks and studies is everything for him. The other dad Namo Narayana grows up his son as timid boy. All leads to different effects on their children. Eventually the movie ends with a shocking but a sincere message thrown by Samuthirakani.
ALlow you boys to pursue their desires. This forms the crux of the movie. The cameo by Sasikumar towards the climax is surprising. The cast also includes Vinodhini, Preethi, Vela Ramamurthy, Vignesh and Raghav.
Iayaraja's music is good and the BGM are soothing.Appa is about fathers who sacrifice for their children. But a moment of though and wise thinking is what needed by them towards their children, say the movie.
Appa - Big daddy
