A L Vijay has proved his mastery in handling various genres in Tamil cinema in the past. But horror genre is something that he has not touched so far. Finally comes one from his kitty. It is a racy horror story loaded with eerie moments.

Though begins on a dull note, the moie gathers momentum as it progresses.AL Vijay has managed to cast some big stars like Prabhudeva, Tamannah and sonu Sood. Versatile performer Nassar, comedian Sathish, RJ Balaji manage to give the best.

Prabhudeva makes his presence  felt with a strong performance and no wonder why he chose this script to make his comeback as actor after a gap of 12 years. It has enough potential for him to showcase that the actor in him is still alive.

Tamannah is a performer and she proved it again. The Baahubali actress get to do a superb show in dual role and pull it off with such amazing ease. Sonu Sood has a meaty role to do.

The storyline is interesting and intriguing for a horror genre. And the way Tammannah does it adds credibility to it.The movie unfolds in Mumbai. Krishna (Prabhu Deva)  working in Mumbai city who wants to marry a ultra modern girl but ends up marrying Devi from a town.

Post marriage Krishna sees abnormal activities in Devi and finds out that she is possessed by a ghost who wanted to be an actress. Interestingly it is that of an aspiring actress played by Tamannnah herself.

How does he get rid of the spirit forms the rest of the story. The major lacunae in the film is that it lacks the speed one would associate witha horror movie. The second half is testing patience and a sense of deja vu prevails all through.A horror movie that oft-seen feel is there.

Devi - Slow & steady
