The story is quite simple.  It may even be considered a reiteration of what SJ Surya told in the movie ‘Kushi’.  The title of the movie explains the whole story.  Love is one which knows no time of origin.

In this movie director Balaji relates the story of contemporary lovers making a mess of their romance.  Already, he related this successfully in his 8 minute documentary film which was relayed in the program ‘NaaLaya Iyakkunar’.  So the compliment meant for Balaji is really worth it.

The hero of the story Arun (Siddharth) relates as a flashback how he messed up his love.  Arun (Siddharth) and Parvathi (Amala Paul) study in the same Engineering College.  Unexpectedly both meet in college canteen.  Their very first meeting makes them friends.  This friendship continues and love blossoms between two.  But both remain mum about their love for each other.

During college vacations both happen to separate.  They separate unable to deliver love they have for each other.  After vacation is over, they manage to express love for each other.

Emotional outbursts and difference of opinion result in both severing ties.

Parvathi’s father Suresh is a spendthrift under the cover of businessman.  But his wife is employed in the Railways.
The whole family is dependent on income of Parvathi’s mother.  At a stage Parvathi’s mother and father apply for divorce.  Resultantly, Parvathi breaks down.
What are the clashes

happening between Arun and Parvathi…?  Do they join at last…?  Does the divorce happen between Parvathi’s mother and father…?  These questions are answered in the climax.

Siddharth gives an impeccable performance as a college student in the movie and has proven himself as a wonderful actor again.  Siddharth proves the befitting choice for the character of a youth who wants to succeed in his romance.
Actress Amala Paul proves the perfect choice for character in the movie.  Both of their deliveries are supporting pillars for the story.  Amala Paul appears beautiful in song sequences.

After a long gap, Suresh has given a terrific delivery.  But, the music by Taman in the movie is very average.  Director Balaji Mohan deserves the compliment for choice of story suiting the current generation.

It is of course mention worthy that other technicians have made appropriate contributions to success of the movie.

This movie will prove soothing to romancing couple and those who know the pain arising out of love.  It is unavoidable that people who expect the movie to be Masala would be disappointed.
