Vijay Sethupathi, Madonna Sebastian, Samuthirakani
Vijay Sethupathi seems to be enjoying a good time in Tamil cinema. He seems to going from strength to strength. After Sethupathi comes Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum for him.
The actor who is known for giving his best, continues to impress in this movie too. Though it has a wafer-thin storyline.Directed by Nalan Kumarasamy, the movie is about a local thug and his encounters with an IT girl Madonna Sebastioan of Premam fame.
There is anger, agony and romance between the two. And there is also Samuthirakani in a different role adding to the twist. As usual there are a set of characters that make the movie count.Vijay Sethupathi is engaging.
He does a super show and the role is tailor-made for him. He is cool and casual. He excels in comedy sequences too. His uttering of dialogues in a quirky manner makes a good watch.Madonna is equally impressive.
She performs well and makes a good debut in Tamil cinema. She has a meaty role to do and she pulls it off well. Samuthirakani has been making a name for himself in the recent days as an actor who can perform well in tricky roles.
Here too he carries that well. The high point is Dinesh Krishna’s camera work. He captures things colorful. And Santosh Narayanan's music is another highlight.Ka Ka Ka Po is a film without a string story. Events drive the film.
It could have been made more interesting had the director avoided repetitions. Vijay Sethupathi's performance saves the film.
Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum - Tries to be funny
