Action packed entertainers are adored and admired by masses. If it happens to be a police story with loads of action and investigative portions, the end product is sure to woo masses.

Theeran Adhigaram Ondru is a raw police story with twists and turns. Karthi does a cop role after Siruthai and fits the role to T.Inspired by real-life incidents and a series of crimes that shook the nation is the movie.

Three cheers to Sathuranga Vettai Vinodh, the man who has done enough research and given all detailing to make it an engrosser. All credit to him for making it crisp, interesting and spine-chilling.

The movie begins on a brisk note and as It progresses, it goes on to become a thriller with investigative portions. He makes it an intense drama and loads it with enough spills and thrills. The movie a period film set in late 1990s is packed with punch. The brainy cop Karthi and how he enquires a series of crime makes it an engrosses.

If Sathuranga Vettai was a con genre, here this is a cop genre. As Theeran Thirumaran, a bravado police officer, Karthi excels. He is right there delivering his emotions close to reality. His body language and dialogue delivery are raw and real. Rakul Preet as his wife Priya makes a brief appearance, but works out well.

She has her part to play. Rohit Pathak as dreaded Banne Singh is the scene stealer. As the movie begins, one understands that it is about a group of criminals from north India who unleash a series of terror across the country. A senior police officer who takes charge in Ponneri, Theeran comes across an unsolved crime.

He sets out to solve it. There happens a dreaded murder of an MLA and series of thefts. The tough police officer gets a clue and goes on search of the gang involved to north India.

There begins cat and mouse game between them.Sathya Sooryan's camera is brisk and brilliant, while Ghibran's BGM is the best. It adds value to the script.

Dhilip Subbarayan's stunts ads strength. It is his work that adds more power. A cop movie is convincing when it has not just action, but brainy investigation. Vinodh seems to have got it right. With Karthi at his best and some spine chilling action scenes, Theeran stands tall.

Verdict : Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru - Interesting & intriguing
