After so many troubles and travails, finally Karthi starrer Komban hit the screens. The legal battle led to lot of hype and expectations. Even before its release many claimed it would incite caste violence.

Does it live up to the hype and did it have much controversial material in it? Answer would be a big no.The movie is entertaining and it is like any other family drama but the background gave to lot of speculations.

It is set in a community in Ramanathauram district.Produced by Studio Green Gnanavelraja and directed by Muthiah, the movie has Karthi, Lakshmi Menon plays lead, while the cast includes Rajkiran, Kovai Sarala, Thambi Ramiah and Super Subbarayan.

Music is by G V Prakash.Man and his bonding with his father-in-law. Karthi and Rajkiran play the roles respectively. Karthi plays a cool guy in a village and he cannot tolerate any injustice to anyone in any form.

Impressed with his acts, when Karthi wants to marry Lakshmi Menon, her father Rajkiran agrees. He shares a good rapport with Rajkiran.  One point of time he gets violent enough to injure his father-in-law and later repents and understands the value of a father figure.

But there is a common enemy for them in the form of Super Subbarayan.Karthi plays his art well. He is cool and casual. Reminds one of Paruthiveeran at few places.

As Kombaiya pnadian he excels.Rajkiran is solid. He is amazing and suits the role well. Lakshmi Menon is cute and bubbly. Super Subbarayan is a surprise packet. All said, the movie has no controversial elements but more blood. IT is a good watch thanks to Muthiah.

Solid Show
