Horror stories are the order of the day. Comes aplenty of eerie thrillers that have a say at the box office. Much recently there seems to be a market for such films and hence every thirds movie being made in Kollywood is today on that genre.

Now comes Nauyanthara's turn to do one. An acclaimed and popular actress she takes to doing a heroine-centric movie in Maya that is filled with enough horror elements to engage masses.A thriller with right does of visual effects and a contemporary theme makes Maya a special movie.

Debutant filmmaker Aashwin Saravanan has ensured that there are enough elements in the movie to make one sit at the end of their seats to catch up all action in Maya.It is not scary but provides a platform for one to watch a different film.

It What promised aplenty in the trailer and was touted to be a Nayanthara special? Well, it turned out to be so. The movie takes a lofty theme to be discussed and events are narrated in an engrossing manner.

Produced by Potential Studios, it is written and directed by Ashwin Saravanan, and it stars besides Nayanthara, Aari, Amzath Khan, Lakshmi Priyaa ChandramouliRobo Shankar, Mime Gopi among others. Music is by Ron Ethan Yohaan, cinematography by Sathyan Sooryan and editing by T S Suresh.

The movie revolves around Nayanthara, who plays a single mother. What happens when she gets into a trouble. Whose help she takes to come out of it and how she is able to overcome all odds forms the crux.

Suspense is the word and the filmmaker manages to sustain all through the film. Nayanthara does a super special job and carries the entire movie with ease on her shoulders. Love, anger, agony, frustration all come in her face quite easily.

No wonder she is hailed as actress who can perform well in any role. Aaari of Nedunchalai too does a super job. Though he has less screen space, he utilise it well and does his part good.

The rest of the star cast is good and awesome. Music is catchy and so are the BGMs. Three cheers to editor Suresh. A racy thrillers needs to be script and so is Suresh's work.

All said, Maya is all magic. Enjpoy the movie. Get entertained.
