It was Thani Oruvan that emerged a biggest hit in Jayam Ravi's career. Now comes his next Miruthan, a movie on zombie genre.Directed by Sakthi Soundararajan, the movie produced by Seraphin Raya Xavier, unfolds in Coimbatore.
For those who have not seen zombie films made in Hollywood, Miruthan is sure to impress. Mirugam and Manithan together is Miruthan.
A man turns a beast inflicted by virus and all hell breaks loose. What happens then forms the crux.A zombie thriller running for less than two years with no romantic duets or crass comedy. Sakthi Soundararajan means business. He sticks to the genre and delivers a thrilling entertainer.
The movie features Jayam Ravi, Lakshmi Menon, RNR Manohar, Kali Venkat, Sriman and Anikha Surendran in key roles. Karthik (Jayam Ravi), is a traffic policeman in Ooty. He spends all time with his sister. Renu (Lakshmi Menon), a doctor is all set for her wedding with her colleague.
As it happens Karthik is impressed by Renu.A deadly virus breaks out in the town and men and women become beasts and suck blood. Coming to know there is no cure for it, he takes to helping Reno to find a medicine.
Jayam Ravi is the stalk and cheese of the movie. He displays his best and executes action sequences well. Though the logics are given a go by, he manages to gain all attention in stunt scenes.
Kaali Venkat and Sriman tickle your funny bone. Lakshmi Menon stands out with a dignified performance.Imman's background score elevates the movie, while Sakthi Soundarajajan ensured no momentum is lost anywhere.
Jayam Ravi's best
