‘Naan Rajavaga Pogiren’ is direction by Prithvi Rajkumar. Nakul does double in the movie. Chandini and Avani Modi are heroines for the movie.

Nakul does character named Jeeva who resides with his mother in Himachal Pradesh.  He is his mother’s favourite.  Jeeva, who grows up in a peaceful atmosphere meets a military officer.  Through the military officer, he comes to know that there is a person in Chennai bearing resemblance to him.  Jeeva leaves for Chennai out of natural curiosity to meet his lookalike.

Before meeting Raja, Jeeva desires knowing more about Raja and gets details from the military officer. He meets the girl who has one-sided love for Raja and reveals the truth to her.  The heroine Reema (Avani Modi), surprised at the fact that there are two lookalikes, travels with Jeeva to meet Raja.

As they come to Chennai, it comes to light that Jeeva and Raja are one.  The rest of the story is about what happens to his lover Chandini, about who prove reason for Raja turning into Jeeva, and about how Jeeva alias Raja wreaks vengeance upon those people.
Nakul, who has done both Jeeva and Raja, reveals two different faces in him. One is an innocent character and another is an aggressive one.  Nakul proves a major strength to the movie.
Although numbers composed by GV Prakash are average, the song sequences have been shot such that it captivates the attention of audience.  Except that Vetrimaaran’s name occurs in the title card, his dialogues do not stand out in importance throughout the movie.

Cinematography by R Velraj, editing by Jyothi Prakash are plus points to the movie and add to strength of the movie written and directed by debutant director Prithvi Rajkumar.

There are some shortcomings to the movie. Like many other movies, the movie shows attending to nature’s calls as a comedy.  But no other movie could have highlighted the issues surrounding Sri Lankan Tamil in a better way.

The movie ‘Naan Rajavaga Pogiren’ has good subject.    But, the director has messed up the screenplay.  ‘Naan Rajavaga Pogiren’, a good commercial movie, deserves being viewed once.

Taking everything into account, the movie ‘Naan Rajavaga Pogiren’ fails to prove interesting although there is good message in it.
