Naveena Saraswathi Sabatham is not a period film nor is it a remake of the original but a fantasy comedy that will definitely be an entertainer for audience that prefer only comedy and nothing more.

Jai, Rajkumar and Sathyan joined by VTV Ganesh have been the chosen ones for "the Divine Game" (Thiruvilayadal) by Lord Siva. The four get-together for a bachelor's party and are left in an isolated island by divine intervention. Now what happens in the island and how they escape from the island, is the rest of the story.

A happy-go-lucky movie, a full length comedy especially the scene at the Siva's abode 'Sivalogam' is the highlight of the film though, most of the scenes will shortly arrive on the comedy channels. The romantic scenes between Jai and Niveda are not impressive.

Songs are not appreciative. Cinematographer Anand Jeeva has done a great job, especially the island shots are arresting. There is no scope for technical expertise in this film that leaves no scope for discussion.
