Can a film on underworld and drug peddlers be made as quirky comedy. Can it throw realities of life. How can it speak about polyandry and an unsatisfied married life in one side, and apparently deals with the quarrel between a couple who are made for each other. The answer is Odu Raja Odu.

With Set Top Box as its base, the director duo Nishant-Jathin in their maiden venture has managed to come up with an engrossed. The story revolves around Mano (Guru Somasundaram). The Joker fame actress holds the movie together as a devout husband.

A wife wants her husband to get her a set top box. The husband goes out to by it with his drug peddler friend. However this lands him in greater trouble. He has to run for cover and solve several issues.Odu Raja Odu seems is a fun-filled entertainer. The screenplay is crisp and all the characters have a part to play.

Be it Guru's wife Lakshmi Priyaa, Kalimuthu (Nasser) and  Chellamuthu (Ravindra Vijay) and Gajapathy (Melvin) chip in with their best.If Guru Somasundaram has enough to express, there is a meaty screen space for Lakshmi Priyaa. She plays it natural and cool.Odu Raja Odu reminds one of Aaranya Kandam at places. However the former is comical while the latter was serious.

The directors deserve pat for the treatment to the screenplay. They makes it tough at times, but unfolds the suspense in coming sequences. Odu Raja Odu is an experimental black comedy which can be watched for the attempt of a young team.

For those who want a light-hearted film with enough to engage them, Odu Raja is the right choice. Odu is the right choice.
