The movie ‘Oru Kal Oru  Kannaadi’ could be considered the first successful flick taken by Udhayanidhi Stalin’s ‘Red Giant Movies’.

The movie ‘Oru Kal Oru Kannaadi’ was released with lot of expectations with debut of Udhayanidhi as hero, along with Santhanam’s comedy in the movie.  Also, Hansika, who is called ‘Chinna Kushbu’ is pairing up with Udhayanidhi, and has taken her turn to arouse much anticipation among fans.

Let us come to the story.

The hero Udhayanidhi and comedy actor Santhanam make their appearance in the screen as two youth wooing women.  They come across Hansika in a traffic signal.  Udhayanidhi, who is taken in by Hansika’s beauty, starts romancing her.  Santhanam stands by Udhayanidhi in the romance.  Hansika, who initially turns down Udhayanidhi’s love, starts romancing him later.

But unexpectedly both separate.  Why these two separate… and whether they join hands again is the story of the movie.

Director Rajesh has given a real entertainer, and the dialogues are really impressive.  Every scene of the movie is interesting.  Definitely the director deserves applause.

Apart from being a good producer, Udhayanidhi wins the hearts of audience through spontaneous delivery.

Although the hesitation a debutant actor would have is obvious in Udhayanidi, his realistic delivery is commendable.  Although he is not much acquainted with dance, he deserves applause for the dance moves on screen.  The movie is a good opening for Udhayanidhi who shows intimacy with Hansika on screen. He has made impression as good actor.

One need not tell much about Santhanam.  From begin till last he maintains a good comedy track.

This movie is lot better when compared to earlier movies Hansika acted in.  It is indeed true that she is ‘Chinna Kushbu’.  This comes in dialogue in the movie.

Saranya Ponvannan, who comes as Udhayanidhi’s mother shows different facets through her acting.  Usually she moves fans to tears through melancholy, but this time she makes fans laugh through delivery full of comedy.

Two people who deserve compliments are music composer Harris Jayaraj and cinematographer Subramaniam.  The songs are already a hit, and are commendably intertwined with the movie.

The song sequences are captured well.  The usual guest appearances in Rajesh’s movies as Arya, Andrea and Sneha are present in this movie, and win applause.

Definitely one could view the movie again and again without getting bored.
