Movies set around food never fails to satisfy masses. In today's cinema, several out-of-the-box ideas have found favour with the masses. Joining the list is Un Samayal Arayil.

A remake of Malayalam hit Salt N Pepper, the movie is directed by Prakashraj himself who has also played the lead role. Sneha plays the heroine with Thambi Ramiah donning a prominent character.

The high point of the movie is Prakashraj's Tamilisation of the Malayalam script, while Ilayaraja manages to some up with female lead. The high point of the film is music by maestro Ilayaraja. Thambi Ramiahplays a prominent role. The movie has enough elements to keep one entertained. Yummy dish and tasty screenplay too.

Prakashraj plays a bachelor and a government employee. He has a great liking for foods. He stays along with his friend. One day, he gets a wrong call and it happens to be from Sneha, a spinster living as a paying guest with her friend. Now things take a turn in both their lives after the call. How it ends on both coming together forms the climax.

Though they are sub-plots that takes away the attention from the central theme, there are elements that entertains us. An underlining humour is the highlight of the script. Call it  Prakashraj show. The versatile actor has managed to blend fun, seriousness and emotions at right mix with his performance.

Sneha is apt for the female lead. She carries the role with utmost ease. She comes with catchy costumes. Thambi Ramiah is good and evokes right laughter. But the flesh and blood of the movie is Ilayaraja's background score.

They add value to the proceedings. Forget the logic, if you have the appetite for different cinema USA is there to entertain you.

Prakashraj\'s different spread
