Sivakarthikeyan, Keerthy Suresh, Sathish
Sivakarthikeyan may be jusy eight-fil-old. But call it guts to do an experimental role in Remo - that of a woman. As young nurse Remo he sparkles.Directed by newcomer Bakkiyaraj Kannan, the movie has Keerthy Suresh as heroine.
Cinematography is by veteran P C Sreeram and music by Anirudh Ravichander. Saranya, Sathish, Rajendra, Yogi Babu among others play supporting roles, while filmmaker K S Ravikumar appears as himself. It is a rom-com that is enjoyable from the word go. Sivakarthikeyan's screen presence is the major strength of the movie.
He does it with ease and elan. And comedy comes naturally for him. And with the likes of Sathish and Rajendran giving him company, the movie ends up an engaging one too.The first half is laced with comedy while latter half has emotion and more of romance. Sivakarthikeyan gets adequate scope to prove his acting skills.
His mannerisms and body language as nurse is the major strength. Keerthy Suresh as Kavya who falls for Sivakarthikeyan eventually is good too.PC SReeram's camers sings a poetry on screen. The scenes are captured with utmost beauty and the visuals are attractive. Anirudh's music adds strength.
The peppy numbers are fun to listen to. Reuben's editing is just loose with lengthy second half.In a nutshell, Remo is all about how an aspiring actor who disguises himself as a lady nurse woos the doctor he falls in love with.
Sivakarthikeyan has come big way and the movie is sure to take him places now.Remo is a romantic-comedy film, which is expected to have a right mix of humour, romance, songs, dance and fights. An enjoyable fun-watch is Remo.
Remo - What a (wo)man
