Films are a medium of entertainment and provided with right commercial elements, they can make an impact among the masses. Actor Prashanth who until a few years ago was one of the front line heroes chose to take a break.

And now he is back with a bang in Saagasam. The movie is a cocktail of action, romance, emotion and all feel-good elements.Directed by Arjun Raj Verma, Saagasdam as the title suggests is about the heroics of the hero and he uses his brain more than his brain to won his enemies.

Prashanth fits the role well and he is charming and bubbly from the word go. Be it action or chase poor uttering punchlines, Prashanth is at his best. The movie is all colorful, trendy and engaging.

It is produced by Prashanth's father and actor-producer Thyagarajan with Australian model Amanda making her debut in Tamil as heroine. Nargis Fakhri appears for an item number. Nasser, Sonu Sood, Thambi Ramaiah, Devardarshini, M S Basker, John Vijay among others forms part of the cast.

Saagasam is about a callous youth (Prashanth). He hardly woks but wants to make some quick money. But the actor is smart and he believes that his intelligent way would get him rewards.

The story takes a twist when he meets a gangster who steals a large sum of his money. There begins the thrilling game between the two. Of course there is romance too for Prashanth in between.Prashanth is strong and solid on screen.

It is a perfect comeback by him. He is sure to go places. Amanda is welcome addition to Kollywood. Nasser, Thambi Ramiah and Sonu Sood have interesting part to do.Thaman's music adds strength to the film.

Cinematography by Shaji Kumar is catchy and colorful. Editing by Zashi Omer is crisp and makes the whole show riveting. All said, the movie is a pleasant watch filled with action and humour.

Saagasam - Racy & riveting
