Vijay Antony Film Corporation
Taut thrillerWho said thrillers have to be in one mode? Here comes Vijay Antiny in the company of Pradeep Krishnamurthy in breaking the mound to render an engrossing entertainer that involves suspense, eerie moments and psychological elements in one go and at right mix. Saithan is an entertainer that keeps you engaged. There is little fun, fear and emotions that keeps you entertained.
Directed by ted by debutant Pradeep Krishnamurthy, the flick belongs to a psycho thriller. The first few minutes of the movie was out recently and it has positive response too. Saithan interestingly is released in Telugu as Bethaludu. An edge of the seat action thriller like Vijay Antony's first venture Naan, Saithan features him in the role of a software engineer.
The movie also features Arundhathi Nair, Y Gee Mahendra, Arundhathi, Meera Krishnan, Charu Haasan and Aadukalam Murugadoss in important roles.Vijay Antony never fails to throw surprise in choosing his stories. That are strikingly different from vcommercial cinemas but all commercial elements find a place in the script.Saithan is no different. Dinesh (Vijay Antony) is a software professional and he goes in search of a mysterious woman Jayalakshmi (Arundhathi Nair). The film is about his struggles between his past and present mixed with reality.
Arundhati Nair as his wife throws up surprises through her character.Meera Krishnan, Charu Haasan and Aadukalam Murugadoss impresses in their roles. Vijay Antony shoulders the whole burden in his shoulders.and he does a superb performance.
Arundhathi Nair does full justice to the character.Pradeep Kalipurayath's camera and Veera Senthil Raj's scissors make it a glossy and crisp affair. Vijay Antony's music adds strength.Saithan may not be in the league of Pichaikaran, yet it is enjoyable.
