Vadivelu is back perhaps with a bang. Though he was away from action for some time, there was a huge demand on him to deliver. The versatile comedian who ruled the roost till his hibernation is back with Tenaliraman, only to prove why is still popular among movie-lovers.

Produced by AGS Entertainments, the movie stars Vadivelu in dual roles. Music is by D Imman and dialogues by Aroordass. Directed by Yuvaraj Dayalan, who made Potta Potti before, the movie has Meenakshi Dixit playing his heroine. Vadivelu had earlier been part of Imsai Arasan and Indiralohathil Na Azhagppan, both historical films that managed to woo masses. This time he is back with Tenaliraman, a character we love a lot since our childhood.

A name synonymous to intelligence and humour, Tenaliraman features Vadivelu in dual roles. Mamannar (Vadivelu) is a great king. He cares a lot for his people. There are eight Ministers in his courtyard. They have their own selfish desires to achieve. Tenaliraman (Vadivelu) is inducted to to the courtyard.

Mamannar's daughter Madhulai (Meenakshi Dixit) falls for Tenaliraman. Ministers convince the king to do business with Chinese. As a result people suffer. Povery prevails. Tenaliraman takes up the task to educate the king and save the kingdom from troubles.

Three cheers to Vadivelu. he is right there giving his best. As Tenaliraman and the gigantic King, he delivers his best. His body language and dialogue delivery are the highlights. Meenakshi Dixit is apt choice. The movie has rich sets and excellent background score. Aroordass dialogues are good.

Though Tenaliraman is no patch for Imasai Arasan, it is enjoyable. No dialogues that evoke huge laughter, but the magic of Vadivelu pulls it off.

Fun is the word
