Movies on police always garner the attention of masses. And if its a Vijay film, the hype doubles.

Three cheers to Atlee of Raja Rani fame for bringing the police officer in Vijay with Theri.A super show of a gritty police officer, the movie is a cocktail of action, emotion, humour and fun.

Theri boasts of a hugely talented technicians and  artistes who are known for their good show.Produced by Kalaipuli S Dhanu on a grand scale, Theri is rich and glossy.Predominantly in three shades.

Theri sees Vijay in a different level. He shoulders the whole burden and comes up trumps. His body language and mannerisms would draw more children towards him.  Amy Jackson and Samantha Ruth play heroines and they don the role of teacher and a doctor respectively.

Music is by G V Prakash Kumar and cinematography is by George C Williams. Prabhu, Raadhika, Rajendran and director Mahendran are also in the cast.Vijay is bubbly and energetic. In the company of Nainika, both pull of their part well.

Nainika, daughter of veteran actress Meena is amazing and appealing. She gives a super show. Samantha is bubbly and she comes up trumps in her character.

Amy Jackson looks good and the stylish actress as a Malayalam teacher is adequate. Nan Kadavul Rajendran as comedy cop comes up with one-liners that are laughable.

Veteran filmmaker Mahendran makes his debut as actor only to impress, With loads of experience behind the camera, he steps before the same to give a stupendous show. His catchy one-liners make it count.

The man who gave many hits like Uthiri Pookal has shown why he is a veteran in the industry with a super cool show. Atlee has made the movie in an impressive manner.

The premise of the movie is bonding between Vijay and baby Nainika.Joseph Kuruvilla (Vijay) is a super stylish cop. Samantha plays his wife Mithra, a doctor by profession.

Interestingly the tough cop crosses sword with a big man in the area and the role is played by (Mahendran.  His son does a bad act and that has its effects. There throws a challenge to Vijay by Mahendran.

Amy Jackson plays a teacher who shares agood bonding with Vijay's daughter Nainika.Theri is a stylish cop film. Battle between Vijay and Mahendran make the rest.

Theri is a modern version of a cop story with more action and more emotion. He has ensured that he gets under the shoe of an Vijay fan to give what they want on screenA bubbly and engaging affair, Theri is sure to be remembered as the movie by Vijay fans.

Royal salute
