Dhanush, Keerthy Suresh, Thambi Ramaiah, Karunakaran
T. G. Thiyagarajan
From the maker of Mynaa and Kumki comes Thodari. Deviating from his style of movie making, Prabhu Solomon has come out with a gripping thriller, that is laced with romance, action and drama.
Set in a movie train, the movie has Dhanush playing the role of a pantry boy. Keerthy Suresh, his love interest, is a makes, artistes. The entire plot of the flick rolls between the trains start and end point. Thodari is a concoction of all elements.
Music and background score by D Imman is par excellence. The composer has manged to bring out love, romance and thrill in every beat.
Dhanush, who plays the role of a pantry boy has done all things with exception be in acting, dance or fight sequences. Some of the scenes shot over the train is both daring and challenging.
Keerthy Suresh is a darling. The pretty actress has got some really meat role in the flick and she has done justice to it. Her role as a make-up artist seems to have suited her and her presence is felt throughout the film.
Several twists and turns in the plot has made the movie a good watch, however, the first half seems to drag a bit. But then the filmmaker has managed to increase the speed of the flick and the second half is promising.
Thambi Ramaiah and Karunakaran have done their roles well, although comedy is only prevalent in the first half, not that one needs to laugh through out the entire duration of the flim.
Harish Uthaman as a commando has commanded his scenes. The baddies seems to have gone worse in Thodari.
