For those who had seen a romantic Jai, here comes a change. The actor appears with flexing muscles and angry look. He does perform stunts too.Thats Valiayavan, directed by Engeyum Eppodhum fame Saravanan. Andrea plays the heroine.

The various forms of love and its after effects on an individual's life is what Valiayavan is all about.

Saravanan has given him enough to explore the variation in the movie. He starts off as a good looking soft romantic boy. After interval, a different Jai who goes hammer and tongs makes one engrossed.Andrea plays a heroine and her cute looks is the highlight of the movie.

Interestingly she has more scope to perform. Her on-screen chemistry with Jai hogs all limelight.

Bala Saravanan, Azhagam Perumal and Anupama Kumar play their p[art exceedingly well. Aaran Chowdhary as baddie walks away with aplomb. Three cheers to cameraman Dinesh Krishnan. His lens do all the talking.

He has given different shades for the story and adds sheen to the script. Imman's music is another pillar for the movie. Not just his songs, but also the background score adds pep to the proceedings.

Valiyavan is a commercially cocktail. It has romance, humour and revenge laced well. Saravanan deserves a pat for executing the story well. However on the flip side, it lacks steam as it progress in the second half.

Jai has been a revelation and Andrea is the pick among all. Azhagam Perumal does all things well.

All said, Valiyavan is a movie to reckon with for commercial movie-lovers.

Strong is the word
