If one had seen movies like Tarzan or George of the Jungle and marveled at the conflict between man and beast, here comes the desi version. Vanamagan is here to entertain you all.Actor Jayam Ravi' plays a desi Tarzan and he is entertaining to the core.

Dark, well-built, he plays a tribal who comes to city from his community. He knows no language and tries to communicate to people in his own way. He meets Sayeesha and falls for her. And here is a task that awaits him. He has to rush back to his native to save the community from a man’s greed.

Varun, Sam Paul, Prakash Raj, Vela Ramamurthy, Sanjay Bharathi, Ramya Subramanian play prominent part of the movie that has music by Harris jeywraj. Interestingly Vanamagan happens to be his 50th overall.Vanamagan unfolds in a forest and it shifts to city.

The second half occurs in Chennai.Jayam Ravi and Sayeesha are perfect couple on screen. They combine well to sizzle in the screen. He is at his ease and performs with utmost ease. As a tribe who is head oiver heels with a girl, he is impressive.

Sayeesha is a cute and bubbly and she does give a stellar performance. Her romantic scenes with Jayam Ravi is good. She danced with great joy and enthusiasm. Thambi Ramiah tickels the funny bone and Prakashraj gives his best.

Madhan Karky’s lyrics are catchy while Harris Jeyaraj's tunes are foot-tapping.Vanamagan is a entertainer with a message. It is cool and engaging.
