It is a comedy film that revolves around two friends. They have women in their lives who want their men to relinquish their friendship. Add to it Shakeela and a cameo towards the end by a popular actor.

That sums up Vasuvum Saravananum Onna Padichavanga (VSOP).After a poor outing in his last All in All Azhagu Raja, Rajesh is back with VSOP. Produced by Arya's The Show People, the movie is his 25th film. It has cinematography by Nirav Shah and editing by Vivek Harshan.

Saravanan (Arya) and Vasu (Santhanam) are friends since childhood. They spend all time together. Vasu gets married to Seema (Bhanu) and Saravanan's actions leads to a split between Seema and Vasu.

He decides to get Sarvanan married to understand his pains. Enters Aiswarya Balakrishnan (Tamannah). He falls for her. He follows her and and with his stupid acts, he tries to win over the heart of Aiswarya.

He takes the help of his best buddies Vasu. What happens between the three forms the rest. The movie boasts of a huge star cast that includes Renuka, Pattimanram Raja, Brinda Dass, Vidyulekha Raman, Siddarth Vipin, Shayaji Shinde, Swaminathan, Venniradai Murthy among others.

There are special cameos by Shakeela and actor Vishal. Arya's character is more an extension of what he did in Boss Engira Baskaran. While he is innocent in one scene, the next scene he is shown brainy.

Santhanam as usual comes all through the film and mouth counter comedy dialogues in almost every scene. Though spread throughout the film, it manages to tickle your funny bone only a few places. Bhanu is back after a gap to play Santhanam's wife.

Vidyulekha plays a comedienne and manages to impress. Tamannah does what she does in every film of hers these days barring Baahubali.A couple of songs by Imman are pleasant to her while the movie is tad lengthy and dialogues are too familiar.

Sans a story, Rajesh has tried to liven up the proceedings with situational comedy. For those who expect a comedy fare on the lines of OKOK or Boss Engira Baskaran, you may return disappointed.

VSOP - Falls flat
