It can't get bigger than this for Dhanush. It is his 25th film and it is produced by Dhanush himself in his Wunderbar Films, The movie is directed by debutante Velraj, who cranked camera for films including Aadukalam, Nayyandi among others. The travails of young educated youth is what the movie is all about.

Velraj takes a satarical look at the lives of youngsters these days. It is laced with humour and there are enough elements in its to woo mass audience too. The unemployed engineer youths and their trouble sand travails are well explained. The movie has Amala Paul playing Dhanush's ladylove while Samudhirakani and Saranya as his parents.

The high point of the movie is Anirudh's music. More than the songs, the Kolaveri composer has scored it with his BGM. The film revolves around Dhanush, an civil engineer looking out for a job. Though he had completed his studies, his search for a suitable job continues.

Obviously, he becomes an object of ridicule in the family because of this. He meets Amala Paul and after initial bickerings its romance. Meanwhile he manages to find a job, but there he encounters challenges. He is all ready and raring to go. Three cheers to Dhanush. None can be imagined for the role other than Dhanush.

He is right there delivering a loud performance. He is cool, breezy and emotions come comfortably on his face.  Samudhirakani as his father sparkles. Saranya Ponvannan as usual plays a dotting mother. Amala Paul is cute and does do what expected from her well. Surabhi plays the second fiddle, while newcomer Amiteesh as suave villain is ok.

Velraj has done a great job in his debut. Velai Illa Pattathari is made with intelligence and skill, with proper amount of comedy. Anirudh and Dhanush team to render another entertainer. Well begun and a smart run by Dhanush.

On the job
