Vishnu, Nikki Galrani, Soori, Nikesh Ram
Vishnu Vishal Studioz, Ezhilmaaran Production
Ezhil, who made biggies like Thullatha Manamum Thullum and Poovelalm un Vasam, in his second innings chose to do light-hearted entertainers that were aimed at B and C audience. And they were decent hits too. Now in the company of Vishnu Vishal he is out with Velainu Vandhutta Velaikkaran.
The quirky title suggests what the mood of the movie is. Besides the lead roles played by Vishnu Vishal and Niki Garlani, there is an army of comedians in the likes of Soori, Robo Shankar, Vaiyapuri, Ravi Maria, Motta Rajendren among others. Ezhil with his one-liners and catchy narration of events makes it an interesting watch.
He is ably complimented by Sathya, whose music is engaging and entertaining that suits the mood and tone of the movie.Cinematography is by Shakthi while editing is by Ananda Lingakumar.
It is about politics and police and some cat and mouse game narrated in an interesting manner. Vishnu Vishal is close to a local MLA Robi Shankar. There is Soori who wants to annul his wedding with Pushpa and runs behind Vishnu and Robo shankar for help.
Niki Garlani wants to become a police woman and Vishnu falls for her. Twists and turns in their lives, narrated in a lighter vein makes up the movie What happens in their lives forms the rest.
All narrated in a hilarious manner. Vishnu Vishal is the flesh and blood of the movie. He is there delivering an entertaining show. He dances well, excels in comedy and has action scenes to perform.
Niki Garlani is cute and bubbly. Soori is the scene-stealer with a superb show, while Robo Shankar's typical comedy lifts the film. Music by Imman is apt for the story.
Three cheers top Ezhil and Vishnu Vishal for a colorful entertainer that is laughathon and ends up a breezy entertainer.
