Amy Jackson turns producer with a short film

Actress Amy Jackson will co-produce and feature in a short film which will create awareness about cruelty to animals. The actress has decided to co-produce and feature in a short film with her friend to create awareness about cruelty to animals and how to prevent it, a media release said. 

'We will shoot for the film soon. I will also be a part of it, though I won't act in the movie. I will be speaking about my experience of making the movie. It will have a few real stories. I believe that cruelty to animals is a serious issue and it's important that it's discussed more,' says Amy Jackson.

Amy, who will be seen next in Rajinikanth-starrer 2.0, mulls to launch the movie on social media and thereafter send it to film festivals. It may be recalled that the actress recently completed shooting for her movie 2.0 that is directed by Shankar. The movie was shot in several locations in India. 

Bankrolled by Lyca Productions, 2.0 has Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, Malayalam actor Kalabhavan Shajon, Sudhanshu Pandey and Adil Hussain in key roles. Music is by AR Rahman. Cinematography is by Nirav Shah. 

Meanwhile, the actress recently launched 'Amy Jackson official app'. This was done in collaboration with New York-based start-up escape. The new app will let fans access Amy's social handles such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and interact with her directly through the in-app social feed. The actress is currently shooting for 'Boogie Man', a British film which has a touch of Indian roots. She would be playing the role of an Asian girl based in New York.
