Anjali’s stepmother files Habeas Corpus petition in Chennai High Court

Following disappearance of actress Anjali, her stepmom Bharathi Devi has filed Habeas Corpus petition in Chennai High Court.

Anjali, who hails from Andhra, debuted into Tamil cine field through movie ‘Katradhu Thamizh’.  The success of movie ‘Angaadi Theru’ raised her to star status.  In recently released movie ‘Settai’, Anjali has done intimate kiss scenes with Arya.  In a development, Anjali made sensational complaint that her stepmom Bharathi Devi is torturing her.

Actress Anjali, who was in a hotel in Hyderabad, went missing the last 8th.  Anjali, who was in Hyderabad for movie shooting, slipped away from the hotel in a car.  Following that, Anjali’s brother Ravi Shankar filed complaint with police that somebody has abducted her.

Anjali had contacted Chennai reporters over phone and made accusations against her stepmom Bharathi Devi and director Kalanjiyam.  She accused them saying that both plotted to usurp her money.  As reply to the accusation, both filed individual complaints with Chennai Police Commissioner.  Stepmom Bharathi Devi said that Anjali is speaking under somebody’s custody.

Resultantly, there is prevalent confusion and tension with regard to the case.  Yesterday, Anjali’s brother Ravi Shankar approached police and said that Anjali spoke to her mother Parvathi Devi who is abroad. Then, Anjali had said that she has not been abducted by anybody.

So, her brother said that he is withdrawing his complaint that she has been abducted.  But police refused to accept the withdrawal of complaint. Police sternly said that investigation based on the complaint would continue till Anjali turns up.

In a development, actress Anjali’s stepmom Bharathi Devi has filed Habeas Corpus petition in Chennai High Court.  In the petition, she said: -

‘Last 8th; reports were released in magazines that Anjali opined against me.  As I came across the reports, I tried contacting Anjali.  But she had already switched off her cell phone. I fear that she might have been abducted by antisocial elements.  So, I request that order be issued to Chennai Police Commissioner and Valasaravakkam Police to take action such that she is presented in court.

Lawyer Jayaprakash filed the petition on behalf of Bharathi Devi.  It seems the petition would come for hearing tomorrow.  Anjali has opened her heart to a lead actor in Telugu.  Then, the actor directed her to a lead producer and said that the producer would provide her a solution.  Taking into account the suggestion, Anjali seems to have taken refuge with the producer.

It seems Anjali would put a full-stop to off the screen life as per the producer’s suggestions. Also, Chennai police are investigating into whereabouts of Anjali.  It seems Anjali would appear before police to put full-stop to complaints of abduction and reports in magazine.  It is reported that Anjali would appear before higher police official in either Andhra or Tamil Nadu.
