Archaeology department denies permission to conduct program near Taj

AR Rehman has been refused permission to conduct music program near Taj Mahal.   AR Rehman has composed the music for a Hindi movie titled ‘Ek Deewana Thaa’.  Gautam Menon has directed the movie.  This is a remake of the Tamil movie ‘Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaaya’.  Since the story centers love the audio release for the movie was planned to be conducted in Metabh Park which has Taj Mahal in the background.

In the occasion Rehman was to play the music.  They went for permission from archaeology department.  But taking into account the damage caused by a previous venture, ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’, permission was denied.

This has caused a tumult amongst Rehman’s fans.

Following denial of permission, Gautam Menon has planned to conduct the audio release in a hotel in Agra.  Allegations are that due to damage caused by a previous film shooting, the archaeology department has denied permission for any further occasion.
