Arya clarifies his stand on Jallikattu

Actor Arya who remained quiet for the last few days after he was trolled for asking ‘what is Jallikattu?’ has now broken his silence.

The actor has opened up saying, 'At an online programmer called ‘Vishal Live’, Twitter fans were asking questions  to the actor and one of them asked if Vishal supported Jallikattu.

I replied to him on a lighter note saying, ‘hand, Jallikattu? What’s it? If Vishal supports Jallikattu, who will support him?’ But the person only took part of my replies and misinterpreted my tweet.

As a sports person, I do support Jallikattu but it is a debatable topic — the Censor Board and Animal Welfare Board don’t allow us to shoot such scenes.

They have certain restrictions and the government is dealing with it. It is beyond my control and I have to oblige to certain things.

'The actor who didn't have a release last year has been working on the flick Kadamban. An action thriller, it is directed by Ragava. Catherine Tresa playing the female lead. Seeing his first look in the movie, Arya has been termed as Tarzan of South India.

Kadamban is produced by Super Good Films and Arya’s The Show People. Music is by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
