Following threat to disrupt release of Baahubali 2 across Karnataka by few activists, actor Sathyaraj today chose to express his regret for his alleged remarks against Kannadigas, made some nine years ago on vexatious Cauvery water row.
In a video message that was released to the press through WhatsApp, Sathyaraj said, 'I take this opportunity to extend my regret on the remarks made by me during Cauvery protests.'
'I reiterate that I am not against those living in the neighboring State. But to ensure a smooth release of Baahubali that stars me in a brief role. I tender an apology. I hope those in Karnataka will accept the same and allow the release of Baahubali 2'.
In his video message, Sathyaraj added that people in Tamilnadu will understand my position. I don't want a movie made on such a grand scale by the hard work of thousands of technicians should go waste.'
