Recently, director Ameer said that the Censor Board is functioning like a Mafia gang. But, director Bala has contradicted Ameer’s statement.
Movie ‘Paradesi’ by Bala is to hit screens the next week. In a development, Bala spoke in interview to magazine: -
‘Some say that I shed tears of pain before finishing movie ‘Paradesi’.’
‘But I and the movie crew have given our blood as food to parasites clinging to wild buffalos and insects clinging to the leaves in tea estates. There are very few among actors who appropriately do the role given to them. After release of ‘Paradesi’, Adharva would be one in the list of such actors.’
Bala answered the question about Censor Board: -
‘As there has been no obscenity in my movies, I have never had issues with Censor Board. The Censor Board functions honestly. The statement by some that the Censor Board is extracting money for favourable certification of movies is not alone childish, but also an act of disrespecting government. Those people who perform such acts should be punished as per law.’
