‘Barfi’ is a movie which deeply moves lovers across the globe.  The movie starring Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Ileana has been nominated for Oscar Awards.

Hero for the movie is one who lacks hearing and speech.  Heroine of the movie is a mentally disturbed individual.  There is another woman who enters these two people’s lives.  The story of the movie is woven centering these characters.  Major portions of the movie have been shot in Darjeeling.  The movie is direction by Anuragh Basu.

The movie was released last week and turned hit in the box-office.  The movie has been sent from India for Oscar Awards.

Totally 19 movies including Tamil movies as 7aum Arivu, and Vazhakku En 18/9 were recommended for Oscar and were sent to take place in nomination list.  Finally movie ‘Barfi’ was nominated for Oscar.  For Oscar 2012,  along with movie ‘Barfi’ other language movies are also in nomination list.

Several times, Indian movies were sent for Oscars.  But so far, not one Indian movie has won Oscar.

Anuragh Basu, who opined regarding this, said that movie ‘Barfi’ would sure win Oscar.
