Billa 2 opens big in Toronto, Canada!

Billa 2, which was released here in North America yesterday (July 12th) evening, got very good opening yesterday and today in North America in general and Toronto, Canada in particular such that the movie is running into packed houses.

As Toronto is known to have the biggest Sri Lankan diaspora Tamil community outside of Sri Lanka, it is no wonder that the movie is performing so well.

The word-of-mouth about the movie is good and by the look of it, there is a chance that Billa 2 will do the same magic of collecting big bucks as Rajini starrer Enthiran, which did wonders at the box office!.

Sri Lankan Tamils here, who came to Canada from Sri Lanka due to the ethnic problem that was going on there at the time of their displacement, are touched by the story of David Billa, a Sri Lankan Tamil refugee, essayed so well by Ajith Kumar himself, who loses his family in Sri Lanka.

Beyond Ajith, the movie has Parvathy Omanakuttan, Bruna Abdullah and of-course first class photography by R. D. Rajasekhar and music by Yuvan Shankar Rajah to pull large crowd to the theatres.

As Billa 2's story has Sri Lankan refugee roots, the movie, without any doubt, going to rock in Toronto and other cities where Sri Lankan Tamils are living in big numbers.
