Bombay HC dismisses petition against Amir Khan’s Satyameva Jayate show

The Bombay High Court dismissed a petition filed against actor Aamir Khan’s show ‘Satyameva Jayate’, stating that the usage of the motto is not in gross violation of the
Emblem act.

A PIL was filed by activist Manoranjan Roy, who claimed that use of the words Satyameva Jayate for trade purposes and gain is violation of the Act and Rules.

However, the court said, "There is no merit in the petition to show that the programme slogo is an imitation of the Emblem. Hence sections 3 and 4 of the Act are not attracted”.
