Bombay Jayashree nominated for Oscar for lullaby in ‘Life of Pi’

The Oscar Award Presentation event is held every year. Awards are presented to best movies across the world.  Like it happens every year, Oscar Award Presentation event is to be held this year in America. 


The 85th Academy Awards are to be presented on the coming Feb 24th.  Movie ‘Life of Pi’ by Ang Lee has been recommended for Oscar. The movie’s story is such that it happens in India. Also, it is to be noted that some scenes have been shot in Pondicherry. 


Also, Tamil song in ‘Life of Pi’ sung as lullaby by Bombay Jayashree, and for which music composition is by Mychael Danna, has been nominated for Oscar.  AR Rahman, who received Oscar Award for his music composition in ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, has conveyed his congratulations to Bombay Jayashree. 


It is to be noted that movie ‘Lincoln’, directed by lead director Steven Spielberg, and for which production is by Indian industrialist Anil Ambani, has been recommended for Oscar.
