Chandra Haasan files reply petition in case against ‘Viswaroopam’

‘Viswaroopam’ is set for release the coming 11th amidst issues.  Regent Saimira Entertainment has filed case in Chennai High Court that the movie should be banned from release.  Notice was sent to actor Kamal Haasan and Rajkamal Productions demanding explanation.

The case came for hearing in front of magistrate Vinod K Sharma.  Share holder for Rajkamal Productions, Chandra Haasan filed reply petition.  In the petition, it was mentioned: -
‘Movie Viswaroopam has been taken at a cost of Rs 90 crore in both Tamil and Hindi.’

‘Already, in case against ‘Unnai Pol Oruvan’ by Kamal Haasan, we have given a bank guarantee of Rs 3 ½ crores.  Now, case has been filed with regard to same issue, but with change to film company.  This is act of deception done against court.  So, ban should not be imposed upon ‘Viswaroopam’.

Also, it was mentioned that the case against the movie should be dismissed.

The magistrate adjourned the hearing into the case for coming 8th.
