Chennai High Court gives clearance for release of ‘Vanayuddham’

Movie ‘Vanayuddham’ based on sandalwood smuggler Veerappan’s life has been made.  The Chennai High Court gave clearance for release of the movie on Friday. 

Veerappan’s wife Muthulakshmi filed case with Chennai Metropolitan Civil Court demanding ban upon the movie.  The civil court heard the case and imposed interim stay upon the movie ‘Vanayuddham’. 

Director for the movie ‘Vanayuddham’, AMR Ramesh filed petition with High Court demanding lifting of the ban. Magistrate RS Ramanathan inquired into the case. 

Senior lawyer A Natarajan, who presented himself on behalf of petitioner, conceded removing objectionable scenes.  Following that, the magistrate issued order that the movie could be released.
