Chennai high court imposes ban on advertisement casting Kajal Agarwal

Chennai high court has imposed ban on usage of video clippings of actress Kajal Agarwal in advertisement. 

Kajal Agarwal who starred in ‘Naan Mahan Alla’ and ‘Mahadeera’ posed for coconut oil advertisement of a popular company.  The company used the advertisement even after the agreement expired. 

Actress Kajal Agarwal filed a petition with the Chennai high court in which she mentioned ‘Even after the agreement expired the company is using the advertisement.  This affects the agreement I signed with other companies.’

‘This has caused hindrance to me.  So ban should be imposed on the advertisement.  And for the loss of income I should be given a compensation of Rs. 2.5 crores.’

Judge Vinod K. Sharma who took up the case pronounced the judgment in which he mentioned that the advertisement casting Kajal Agarwal should not be used.  Advertisements which do not cast her can be used.’  Kajal Agarwal made another follow-up petition.

The judges Banumathi and Mala who took up the appeal pronounced that the advertisement casting Kajal Agarwal should not be used.
