Complaint petition in Chennai High Court seeking ban on ‘Samar’

A company by name Anand Cine Services has filed petition with the Chennai High Court. The petition reads as follows:-

‘We are into business of providing instruments necessary for movie shooting. Balaji Real Media Private Ltd has produced movie ‘Samar’. The movie has Vishal, Trisha and other stars.  For shooting of ‘Sama’r, they borrowed instruments from us. The rental balance of Rs 58, 45, 0500 needs to be paid.  The company borrowed instruments from us for movie ‘Osthe’ for which there is a balance of Rs 62 lakhs which needs to be paid. 

‘Balaji Real Media has released advertisement that the movie Samar is to be released.  Ban should be imposed upon release of the movie till the amount of Rs 1. 20 crore is paid.’

Magistrate K Venkatraman heard the case and ordered that notice be sent to Balaji Real Media Company to file reply petition.
