People earned money through Silk Smitha when she was alive, and now, when she is no more, they are making money out of her.

For the first time in Hindi, ‘The Dirty Picture’, based on late Silk Smitha’s life was made.  Then, the movie was taken in Malayalam with title ‘Climax’.  The movie was dubbed in Tamil with title ‘Oru Nadigayin Diary.’

Now, they are making movie out of her life in Kannada. The movie is titled ‘Silk Sakkath’.   Pakistani actress Veena Malik has done role of Silk Smitha in the movie.  They have planned releasing the movie on September 10th.  But, there is strong protest against the movie’s release in Karnataka.

An outfit named ‘Sri Rama Sena’ has announced that they would not allow screening of movie starring Pakistani actress in Karnataka, and that they would stage protest in front of theatres which screen the movie.

In a development, the Sri Ram Sena outfit has filed case against the movie accusing that the movie has many obscene scenes in it.  Court has stayed screening of the movie, and has sent notice to Censor Board regarding the issue.

Trishul, the movie director said ‘It is not new for Veena Malik to do Indian movies.  Currently, she does a Telugu movie ‘Nagna Satyam’.  There are scenes relevant to the movie, and no scene has been thrust into the movie for glamour alone.  I believe I would receive justice from court.’
