There is prevalent opinion in Kollywood that Simbu pokes his nose into matters directors entertain, and also that Simbu is a person who acts according to his whims and fancies.  But director Vijay Chandar who does ‘Vaalu’ denies the claim that Simbu is such a person. 

The director spoke regarding Simbu:-

 ‘Simbu is a good actor.  He is one who blatantly speaks out his opinion.  Also, he is particular that his movies turn out well.  Some people misunderstand and see him with wrong outlook.  If you ask me, I would say he is a good actor.  The wrong reports about him which make rounds are like stories in radio.  It is sheer imagination.  When one relates story, visions come across in our mind.  The reports about Simbu are such stories.  Nobody needs to believe those stories.’

‘When taking into account ‘Vaalu’ the story and screenplay are entirely mine.  Simbu does not interfere in any way.  He does as he is told.  Also, he is prepared for another take if the shot does not turn out well.  He has done this movie exceedingly well’ said director Vijay Chandar.
