Directors Association calls for hunger strike against Sri Lankan Government

The meeting by Tamil Nadu Film Directors Association headed by Ameer was held today.  During the meeting five - point demands were made against the Sri Lankan Government. 

Here are demands stressed upon during the meeting. 

The demand of imposing embargo upon Sri Lankan Government, and that which was stressed upon in the Tamil Nadu Assembly, should be brought to vogue with immediate effect. 

War criminal Rajapaksa should be questioned by an independent multinational court. 

A general voting should be conducted amongst Eelam Tamils and those Tamils who have gone for immigration.
So as to make the voting easy, the Singhalese who have encroached in Tamil residences in Sri Lanka should be evacuated.  

India should reconsider bilateral ties with Sri Lanka which has carried out genocide of innocent Tamils. 

The Tamil Nadu Directors’ Association has called for hunger strike on 19.3.2013 between 9 am and 6 pm stressing upon the demands. 

So as to convey support to the peaceful agitation, Directors Association has forwarded request to suspend shooting schedules to the Tamil Nadu Producer Council, the South Indian Artistes Association, the Federation of Film Employees of South India, South Indian Film Chamber, The South Indian Producers Guild, and Tamil Nadu Theatre Owners Association, Tamil Nadu distributors committee, and the Small Screen association to suspend shooting schedules on 19.3.2013.
