Elections for Directors Association as Bharathiraja’s tenure nears the end

The elections for Tamil Nadu Film Directors Association are held once in every two years.  Currently, director Bharathi Raja is the head of the Tamil Nadu Film Directors Association. 

As Bharathiraja’s tenure is nearing an end, announcement has been made that forthcoming election would be held on June 10th. 

In a development, Vikraman and Visu are contesting the elections.  RK Selvamani and R Sundararajan are contesting the elections for the General Secretary post.  V Sekar, Jagadeesan, and Ellaiyappan are contesting the elections for the post of treasurer. 

Two people are to be chosen as Vice Presidents.  P Vasu, Mangai Arirajan, Arvindaraj, KS Ravikumar, Manorama Chandran are contesting the elections for the post.  Twenty people including N Lingusamy, and Perarasu are contesting the elections for the post of Joint Secretary. 

DP Gajendran, R Mathesh, Ravi Maria, Marimuthu Ramesh Kanna, Kannan, Madhumitha, Manivannan, Manobala are contesting the elections for post of working committee members.  Bharathiraja is not contesting the elections again. 

There are 2, 400 members in the Directors Association including directors and assistant directors.
