Producers decide making new association as negotiations with FEFSI fail

The cinema workers association FEFSI resorted to agitation demanding hike in pay.  Also, they conducted a fast.  They fixed the new pay percentage.  The producers did not concede that.  Following this government employee’s welfare board called both sides for negotiation.  In this, agreement was made about payment for some associations.  Accusation was made that the FEFSI laborers stopped the shooting of movies ‘Karthiyan’, ‘Alex Pandian’, and Vidharth Starrer ‘Kaattu Malli’.  Due to this the negotiation ended up in failure.  The producers have announced that they are to start a new association against FEFSI.

In the statement released by the producers association it is mentioned ‘Until April 30th, shootings for new movies should not be conducted.  The shooting for current movies could be held till April 30th.  From May 2nd shooting for new movies should be conducted using the laborers of the new association that has been made.  Action would be initiated against those producers who do not comply with this decision.  When enquired with FEFSI secretary Siva he commented ‘This announcement has been made without a name.  We believe in the government.  We are participating in the negotiation the government’s side is conducting.  Some forces are trying to create a clash between producers and FEFSI.  Soon the person will be identified.’
