FICCI announced Workshop for 10,000 film employees

Kamal Haasan, the chairman of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), in association with the All India Film Employees Confederation (AIFEC), has announced a three-day film workshop in November for over 10,000 people working in the industry.

But the venue for the workshop is yet to be finalised. According to an official statement, G Shiva, president of AIFEC in collaboration with Kamal, chairman of Media and Entertainment Skills Council (MESC), will bring together 35 film unions under one roof via the workshop.

The three day workshop would involve training which would be conducted by national and international film dignitaries, technicians, specialists in 16 trades/job roles and certificates will be given for the prior skills.

The crowning glory is that the film union unanimously has announced a 3 day work holiday for this Skilling, during the second week of November making it a “workers driven” initiative.
