Grammy winner Ricky Kej in Chennai for short film festival

'Filmmakers should make a difference through art. Art has the power to change public's perception,' said Grammy award winning musician Ricky Kej.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the 4th Chennai International Short Film Festival (CISFF) here yesterday, Ricky Kej appreciated the woks of winners at the festival and urged them to come out with more interesting works'.

Ricky Kej along with other few dignitaries that include national award-winning filmmaker Amshan Kumar, founder of Dream Warrior Pictures, S R Prakash Babu, CEO, Talk Media V S Dasaprakaash and the maker of revelations, Vijay Jaypal graced the ocassion.

'Short films are the future generation. I am more interested in a trailer that is engaging than a full film. I am eager to watch any content that is conveyed in shorter time and easier to consume.

People's attention is becoming smaller and the audience prefer to watch anything that is short and sweet,' Ricky said.

Mary Mother directed by Sadam Wahidi was given the special jury award, while The Silent Mob by Harvan Agustriansyah and Way Back Home by Cheng Tang-Jung were awarded as first and second best short films respectively.
