Heroines should be given equal importance, says Asin

Hindi movies that Asin did as ‘Ghajini’, ‘Ready’ and ‘Housefull’ yielded collection of Rs. 100 crores.  Following success of the movies Asin is one among lead actresses in Bollywood.  There is much anticipation for movie ‘Bhol Bachchan’ which is to be released shortly.

Following the positive developments, Asin is very happy.  Asin gave an interview, the excerpts from which are as follows:

‘The reason for my movies turning hit is my luck.  I am not alone the reason for success of the movies.  There is role of everybody among the crew.  I cannot say that the movies yielded huge collection out of my participation alone.

‘In cinemas, priority is being given to heroes.  Taking them into account, the story is designed.  The fact pains me.  Movies should give priority to heroines also.  I desire that movies as ‘Kahaaani’ giving importance to heroines are released.’

‘I select good stories and then do the movie.  I do not accept movies which are stereotyped’ said Asin.
