High Court issues order to police to present Anjali in court by July 9th

Chennai High Court has issued order to the police to present Anjali in court by coming 9th.

Actress Anjali suddenly bolted from house the last April.  Also, she accused that her stepmom Bharathi Devi and director Kalanjiyam were torturing her.  Following accusation by Anjali, her stepmom Bharathi Devi filed police complaint that unidentified people abducted Anjali and made Anjali speak against her.

Also, stepmom Bharathi Devi filed Habeas Corpus petition with Chennai High Court to trace Anjali and bring her back.  In the petition she said: -
‘Anjali left home on April 8th saying that she was leaving for movie shooting.  But, after that, she did not return.  I filed complaint with police commissioner that antisocial elements might have abducted Anjali. But, police did not initiate any action.’

‘So Anjali should be traced and presented in the court.’

Hearing into the petition by stepmom Bharathi Devi was held for two months. The petition came for hearing in presence of two magistrates as V Dhanabalan, and CT Selvam.

Then lawyer Thambidurai, who appeared on behalf of the government, argued: -

‘Anjali appeared before Hyderabad police and said that nobody abducted her.  So there is no need to present her in the court.’

But, lawyer Jayaprakash who appeared on behalf of Bharathi Devi, argued:

‘After Anjali disappeared on April 8th, nobody knew what happened to her.  Already, she had allocated call-sheet for movies.  It has come to light that she is in clutches of some unidentified people.  So, Anjali should be presented in court.’

After hearing argument by both sides, magistrate issued order to the police to present Anjali in court by coming 9th.
