High Court sets deadline for producing of Anjali in court

As actress Anjali went missing, her stepmother Bharathi Devi filed habeas corpus petition in Chennai High Court.

In the petition, she said: -

‘Anjali is my sister’s daughter.  I adopted her and brought her up.  I introduced her as actress through director Kalanjiyam.  Currently, Anjali is into Tamil and Telugu movies.

‘The last 8th, Anjali went to Hyderabad for shooting for Telugu movie ‘Balupu’.  She is missing since then.  I fear that there is threat to Anjali’s life.  So, order should be issued such that she is traced and presented in the court.’

The petition came for hearing, and magistrates as Jayachandran and another magistrate inquired into the case.  The magistrates have issued order for Anjali to be produced in court within 15 days.

In a development, director Kalajiyam has filed case against Anjali in Saidapet Court.  Reports say that Anjali has decided to come out of hiding, and that she is to appear before police in a police station in Hyderabad.
